Youth News VMHA Youth Clinic The Annual VMHA Youth Clinic held at the UVM Morgan Horse farm was great fun again this year! The clinic taught by Steve Davis and UVM farm staffers, is designed to help our Vermont youth prepare for the Youth of the Year contest program as well as provide education about judging and pattern riding. Each year we get to meet new families and friends of the Morgan horse. Ashton Travers joined us for the first time this year and brought his knowledge of judging from his experience in 4-H judging contests. Newcomer Jessica Blair, who is also the new owner of a delightful UVM bred gelding, UVM Orlando, joined in the fun as well. Steve and staff were excited to see Alex and Orlando again! Also attending were the Vermont class of Youth of the Year contestants sharpening their skills for the upcoming Vermont Spring Classic Youth of the Year contest including Katie and Cassie Mayer, Alex Glover, Amy Blazej, Victoria Brown, and last year’s Vermont Spring Classic Youth Contest winner Bethany Towne. At the conclusion of our afternoon together the instructors agreed that we truly have a talented group of youth in Vermont! Best of luck to those who will be competing at the Vermont Spring Classic Youth of the Year contest this month! Vermont Spring Classic Harold P Brown, DVM Youth of the Year Contest Congratulations to the winners of the 2010 Vermont Spring Classic Harold P Brown, DVM Youth of the Year Contest!
