Dark Matter Inshore Casting Rods, 7'

The rod that started it all - the Dark Matter Inshore series is the OG of the Dark Matter lineup. It spawned the entire line of Dark Matter rods, and the design is so simple and elegant with nothing too flashy or bright. Just simple cork grips, Fuji Alconite guides, and a Fuji low profile reel seat. The matte black finished blank looks sharp paired with glossy black and silver accented guide wrappings. I’ve fished this rod all up and down the East coast, and my personal KO list for this rod is as follows – Striped bass to 42 inches, fluke, blackfish, weakfish, bluefish, redfish to 44 inches (that was fun), black drum, jack crevalle, sea trout, countless bull shark pups, sheepshead, tripletail and one very angry permit. This was all done on my prototype 7’ medium power spinning rod (our production models are much better built and come in M, MH and H models) so that just goes to show how well built this rod is and how versatile it can be in the hands of someone who is truly passionate about this sport. We make this rod in both spinning and conventional, with one brand new XH conventional rod that I designed for heavy bottom fishing.
